Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc We would argue one of the best Sauvignons in Marlborough from a small, quality conscious estate in NZ.  We know many of you are fans of these wonderful wines and this is a fantastic opportunity to stock up at a great price.  James Healy and Ivan Sutherland are the talented and experienced hands behind the label and are finally living the dream of having their own estate after helping making the iconic wines at Cloudy Bay for many years.  This is Marlborough Sauvignon as it should be – fresh, aromatic, concentrated and complex.  It will keep you enthralled to the bottom of the bottle.

Morisfarms Vermentino Vermentino may not be one of the best known grape varieties in the world, but it is well worth a look.  This particular wine is from a top organic producer in Tuscany called Morisfarms.  This is the kind of deliciously light, aromatic, fruity and fresh white wine that Italians do so well.  If you are a fan of Sauvignon Blanc, this is a great wine to try and we think you’ll soon add it to your repertoire.

Chateau Léoube Rosé The gorgeously pale blush colour of the wine draws you in.  The flavour is delicate and elegant too, but far from insipid.  This is the kind of wine that you would have with a summer lunch every day if you could, it’s so light and refreshing and very tasty.  Drinking it will transport you to the shores of the Med and the beautiful organic vineyards and olive groves of the Léoube estate.

Rocca Delle Macie Sasyr A new Tuscan red from one of our longest standing producers, Rocca Delle Macie.  This is a rather interesting blend of Sangiovese (the red grape of Chianti) with the rather more rambunctious Syrah (aka Shiraz).  The result is a fresh, juicy, fruity, concentrated red wine that has plenty of the elusive drinkability factor.

Rustenberg RM Nicholson The name is purely a coincidence (the boss was not stomping the grapes for this one).  Reg Merriman Nicholson (no relation), former owner and winemaker, was the inspiration for the name.  This is a blend of Bordeaux varieties with Syrah, which come together to form this full, deeply fruity spicy red wine which is not at its most harmonious and mature.

Mount Edward Pinot Noir The ‘Godfather of Central Otago’ is a Northern Irish journalist who emigrated to NZ in 1960 and did what no one else was doing at that time – he planted grapevines.  Alan Brady, we are extremely glad you did for this beautiful, rugged, mountainous region is the source of some outstanding wine; particularly Pinot Noir and Riesling.  Mount Edward was Brady’s second winemaking project which he established in 1997 to make Pinot Noir that expresses its essence and its origin.  This delicious wine is mature and harmonious and beautifully captures the elegance, grace and character of Pinot Noir with its delicate aromas, soft, juicy fruit, and a silky soft texture.
