Nicolas Thienpont’s Chateau Puygueraud consistently offers some of the best quality/prix in Bordeaux and this vintage is no exception. 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec. Black fruit and violets on the nose. Creamy, spicy palate. Could almost drink this now! Ripe and attractive, yet not overextracted.
