JN Wine Expands Growing UK & Ireland Portfolio with Acquisition of Independent London Wine Retailer
We are delighted to announce that we have acquired independent wine retailer, Highbury Vintners, in a move that will expand our award-winning company’s footprint in the UK and Ireland market.
This carefully considered acquisition, based primarily on fit and a shared commitment to offering high quality wines from family and artisan wineries around the world, will see JN Wine invest considerably in Highbury Vintners.

The highly successful family-owned business, founded by John Sweeney, has been serving retail and online customers in the prestigious London borough for nearly four decades.
James Nicholson, Managing Director, JN Wine, said: “This is a strategic acquisition for JN Wine and one that has seen us work very closely over the last number of months with Sean and Gillian Sweeney behind the successful Highbury Vintners.

Alongside introducing new and interesting wines from the JN Wine portfolio, we have ambitious plans for growth that includes a refurbishment of the 1,500sqft retail outlet and increased investment in its digital presence in 2020.
The Highbury Vintners name and brand will be reinforced, ensuring its legacy continues.
