DOMAINE JAMET CôTE RôTIE
The assemblage, a key word for Jean-Paul, makes it possible to access the Côte Rôtie of the Domaine Jamet. The variety of terroirs, exposure and the age of the vines are complementary elements that combine their strengths.
100% Syrah grown mainly on various types of schist from 20 parcels of which 15 are in different locations: Fongeant, Côte Blonde, Landonne, Côte Rozier, Plomb, Chavaroche, Moutonnes, Lésardes, Gerine, Truchet, Leyat, Bonnivières, Côte Bodin, Tartaras, Rochins.
Vinification - Whole bunches, maceration for about three weeks. Matured for 22 months in barrels of which 15% are new.
CôTE RôTIE, ‘CôTE BRUNE’
"Côte-Brune" is the only plot selection in the Domaine. It was first made in 1976 and derives from the plot on "Côte-Brune" land registered denomination. This wine, full of complexity, allows us to express the character of this very typical locality.
100% Syrah grown on schist.
Vinification- 100 % whole bunches, maceration for about three weeks. Matured for 24 months in barrels of which 30% are new barrels.
CONDRIEU VERNILLON
In 2015, Loïc Jamet, supported by his father Jean-Paul, vinified the first Condrieu of Domaine Jamet. 100% Viognier grown on the granite soil plots: Vernon and Côte Chatillon. Matured in amphorae eggs.
CôTE du RHôNE ‘ÉQUIVOQUE
Equivoque is the name of the new cuvee from the Domaine Jamet. On the intersection of two appellations, this wine is the outcome of a reflection in the hillsides of the terroir. A wine we at JN affectionately call a ‘Baby Côte Rôtie.’
100% Syrah grown on schist.
Vinification: Partially destemmed with macerations of about 20 days. Matured for 22 months in barrels.
CôTE du RHôNE ROUGE
The Côtes du Rhône is an assemblage of parcels located on the upper slopes of the commune of Ampuis. Plots: Lézardes, Cognet, Plomb, Champrond, Tartaras.
100% Syrah grown on schist.
Vinification: Destemmed and macerated for a fortnight. Matured for 12 months in oak barrels used for 4 to 5 earlier vintages.
CôTE du RHôNE BLANC
Produced from an assemblage of different plots in the commune of Ampuis, the white Côtes du Rhône from Domaine Jamet is northern in character. Mainly produced from Marsanne and Viognier grapes, this wine is fresh, with minerality, and provides immediate enjoyment.
60% marsanne, 30% viognier, 7% roussane, 3% grenache blanc grown on schist and clay-limestone soil.
Vinification: Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation partly in barrels and partly in tanks. Matured 50 % in oak barrels and 50 % stainless steel tanks.
IGP SYRAH COLLINES RHODANIENNES
The IGP Collines Rhodaniennes produced by Domaine Jamet provides simple pleasure in the first three years.
100% Syrah grown on micaschist and granite soils on the higher slopes of Ampuis and Condrieu.
Vinification: Grapes destemmed and macerated for a fortnight. Matured in12 months in oak barrels used for 5 to 6 earlier vintages.
