Korrell

Weingut KORRELL in Bad Kreuznach-Bosenheim cultivates a fine collection of premium vineyards along the Middle and Upper Nahe river valley. These organically cultivated vineyards stretch from Bosenheim near Bad Kreuznach in the east to Schlossböckelheim in the west. The winery is proud to work with this remarkable collection of prized micro terroirs, with each parcel a proven cradle of world-class Rieslings.

Their ancestors originally came from Spain, settling in the Nahe in 1832 in what they believed was the perfect spot for the current estate. Since assuming the reins from his father, Martin Korrell has made a point of acquiring renowned vineyards. Today, this nearly unparalleled portfolio of grand Nahe sites is one of the calling cards of the estate.

Martin Korrell & his team lead the estate in cooperation with entrepreneur Carsten Knauer.

They share a forward-focused, undeniably ambitious goal: sustainability in all areas of the estate.

The winery gained organic certification in 2023.

“Sustainability is diverse and profound - it has a lot to do with consideration, responsibility for future generations and holistic thinking. That's why we implement this theme not only in the vineyard, but also in the way we deal with our team, in the daily logistical processes of the winery and also in our investments.”

Paradise – Kreuznach

‘PARADISE’ is located is the heart of the winery. The family owns 9.5 hectares of area here. In the south-western section, which is up to 52 percent steep, Riesling grows on porous limestone.

The vineyard area is planted with vines up to 40 years old. The winery's Burgundy grape varieties thrive below the stone wall, which is visible from afar. The vines in this area are up to 25 years old.

The Paradies wines are pure and noble with mineral acidity and a complex, yet delicate texture.

The parcel IM HONIGBERG is located in the upper exposed section of the site. Here the soil is somewhat barren, and the microclimate is somewhat cooler.

This rich essence of paradise comes from 30-year-old vines rooted deep in the shell limestone.
