Founded by Andrew and Laurel Quady. Their path into the wine world began with an exodus from Southern California to pursue their dream: a rural way of life making wine. After earning their respective degrees, the Quadys relocated to Madera, California, where they purchased a home bonded as a winery.
The Quadys celebrate the finest quality Muscat grapes in single varietal bottlings of fortified Orange and Black Muscat dessert wines. The varieties they use are distinctive, delicious expressions of the fruit filled San Joaquin Valley. Their winemaking style is aromatic, full bodied and perfectly balanced to finish clean, not cloying. These are the wines that solidified Andrew Quady as a sweet wine specialist.
Year on year, Quady gain awards for their wines. In 2021 the International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) awarded Essensia 96 points and Elysium 95 points. These were the only two fortified wines from the United States to earn gold medals in this category.
