The Casablanca Valley Chile

I am going to CHILE! In three weeks to be precise. Here at JN Wine we were lucky to be able to take part in the Wines of Chile Independent Wine Merchants Competition. So during the month of September we pushed our Chilean wine range via fabulous shop displays, price promotions, web offers etc, not that it was hard to encourage our customers! Our Viña Casablanca range is superb quality for money and a firm favourite with the JN Taste Team.
After taking photos of our beautiful bottles and enticing our enthusiastic customers with free tastings we put forward our entry. AND WE WON! And I was very fortunate to be chosen to go on the trip. It is one thing to taste and read up on wines/wineries, but to actually visit the country, the wine makers and the vineyards is a real education.
As I learnt from the Chilean Wine Summit that took place a few days later in London, it is an exciting time for Chile and its wines. According to Harpers Wine and Spirit Chile has been enjoying record breaking sales in export markets, and none more than in the UK where Chilean wines are consumed by over 20 million consumers.

So the count down is on. I really don’t know what to expect. But don’t worry - I will keep everyone updated with stories and pictures. Someone said to me that if you love meat and wine you will love Chile. I think I might have just found my favourite new place!
