Bodegas Artadi has been chosen as the best Spanish cellar of the year in the new edition of the prestigious Guia Penin. According to the tasting committee, ARTADI is responsible for some truly  "exceptional wines". Among the wines of the 2011 vintage, the rating obtained by ARTADI El Carretil (98 points) is quite outstanding. This wine is part of the three ARTADI Single Vineyard wines that Artadi now bottles separately. Also noteworthy is ARTADI La Poza de Ballesteros (97 points) and the now iconic Vina El Pison (97 points). The awards ceremony took place last Wednesday at the Ferrocarril Museum of Madrid, one day before the celebration of the Salon of the Best Wines of Spain, where ARTADI also was present. Our friend, Juan Carlos Lopez de Lacalle, the owner of Artadi, received the award from Carlos Gonzalez, the director of the guide, who highlighted the improvement of the quality of the Spanish wines throughout the last years.
