We travel extensively in Bordeaux and have access to some of the finest châteaux and cellars. We unearthed this beauty recently from a property in the same area and ownership as Calon Ségur. Jean Moueix, the owner of Château Petrus has recently become a shareholder and this is a property to watch. We have managed to secure a parcel of 2008 which has been resting in the Moueix cellars since birth. The wine is wonderfully mature and is mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, one third Merlot with just a splash of Petit Verdot. It has been aged in 50% new oak for 18 months and will be a wonderful partner to all meats and will give enormous pleasure now and over the next five years.
We have only 600 bottles available and the wine is packed in 6 bottle wooden cases. It would make a wonderful gift for any serious wine lover.
