Travel the world through wine - no passport required!
For the third instalment of our Globetrotters series, we head into Central Europe, alongside '31 Days of German Wine', to take a closer look at one of the most compelling and quietly influential corners of the wine world.
This seated tasting will feature around six wines from our portfolio, focusing on Germany, Austria and Hungary: three countries with long winemaking histories, each offering a very different expression of climate, variety and style.
Given the theme, we'll spend time looking at the range and versatility of German Riesling, from its steely, precise side through to more exotic, off-dry expressions, alongside Spätburgunder in its increasingly confident, finely tuned modern form.
From Austria, expect the hallmark clarity and drive of varieties like Grüner Veltliner, while Hungary brings contrast and depth, from structured dry wines through to more concentrated, classical sweet styles that remain benchmarks for balance and longevity.
As always, this is a relaxed, informal tasting led by our team - focused on discovery and building a clearer understanding of regional style and what you enjoy.
