Since the 2014 vintage, a second wine has been produced, Folie de Chauvin. Benefiting from the same care as the first wine, it is made from young vines. These younger vines are still a remarkable 28 years old.

Folie is characterised by its roundness and elegance as well as its pretty fruit notes. More quickly accessible than Château Chauvin, Folie is above all a wine of pleasure and indulgence!

2019 assemblage: 95% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc. 14 to 16 months ageing in used oak barrels.

"The suppleness of the fruit on the sapid and digestible dimension of the Cabernet Francs associated with the sands and limestones of the north-west part of Saint-Emilion, establishes the wine on the basis of this warm, well-balanced vintage. The blending work is particularly careful to give this second wine its tasty identity in the style of Chauvin. Good length, digestible with a particular tension."
